May Day self help therapy groups For people who have mental health problems that are referred by GPs, psychiatrists and self referral. We provide an informal and confidential environment where members can receive encouragement, empowerment and support in the community during recovery, on-going if needed. Activities include: talking therapy, relaxation, anxiety management, music, writing, flower arrangement, discussions and healthy living. Tel: 01255 222346 for further information. The Volunteer Centre Tendring exists to help the community of Tendring by acting as a recruitment agency for volunteer involving organisations and providing prospective volunteers with access to information about volunteering opportunities. Volunteer Centre Tendring also provides two additional services for people over the age of 60 or those under the age of 60 with disabilities. Helping Hands may be able to provide transport and other services and Guiding Hands which will find an experience volunteer to help negotiate for large purchases and maintenance work and also has a list of reputable companies that have been recommended by users of the scheme and volunteers.
