As part of this service, voluntary and community groups can also access a regular funding news sheet and attend ‘Meet the Funder’ events, which are held to give organisations the ideal opportunity to speak directly to funders about their projects/ideas in an informal and relaxed atmosphere.

PCT funding North East Essex PCT provides funding to voluntary sector services for the following reasons:

Virtual Ward Funding Organisations that provide support to people with long-term health conditions such as diabetes, parkinsons disease, dementia etc., are invited to apply for a one off grant of between £200 - £1,000. In total, £20,000 is available across North East Essex and will be split equally in Colchester and Tendring. Successful applications will need to meet the following criteria:
Organisations should also enjoy a working knowledge of, or a partnership with, Community Matrons in Tendring or Colchester. Activities could include befriending schemes, respite care sitters, complementary therapies and other projects that enable independence and management of long term conditions.
Applications will be administered by CCVS and CVS Tendring and assessed by a panel comprising community matrons and a social worker.
