CVST works with local businesses to foster good relations in order to raise the profile and value of local charities and voluntary organisations. For example, by working closely with the Tendring Business Community, free computers were donated to clients of Signpost Tendring from a local business. Charities can also advertise for free in the Tendring Business Community Magazine co-ordinated through CVST. Local businesses share their knowledge and expertise with charities and groups by delivering presentations on a wide range of subjects such as social media, marketing, pensions and trustee indemnity at the Tendring Trustee Network.
CVST supports the Clacton Town Partnership which is a voluntary group of local small businesses based in the town centre. It hosts various events during the year and also raises funds toward the Town’s Christmas lights.

Local support - The Tendring Enterprise Agency has been set up to provide a support service to established small and start up businesses, plus individuals with an established business proposal within the geographic boundaries of Tendring District Council (TDC). Support will be in the form of mentoring and advice and access to specialist services enabling the target audience to have the best possible opportunity to survive and grow.
