Kennedy Way Community Garden
New community garden opens at Kennedy Way in Clacton
Clacton-on Sea’s new community garden, providing additional facilities for the town’s social prescribing programme, was opened on the 13th October 2021.
It’s a collaboration between North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (NEECCG), site owners NHS Property Services (NHSPS), and Community Voluntary Services Tendring (CVST).
CVST are the service providers and manage the garden.
The garden sits in the centre of the patient and staff car park at the new Medical Centre, Kennedy Way. The centre opened in May 2022, providing a 21st-century replacement for the former Epping Close Surgery and Frinton Road Medical Centre.
The garden hosts raised beds, grassed areas with benches, refreshment facilities and a ‘Men’s Shed’. With further additions to the site planned in the coming weeks, it’s all in place for you to come along and get green.

- Monday, 10am-12pm, Ladies-only gardening & Men’s Shed
- Tuesday, 10am – 12pm
- Wednesday, 10am – 4pm
- Thursday, 10am – 2pm, Gardening and Outdoor Gym Instruction, Free Event
