North East Essex Alliance Neighbourhood Programme

In October 2019, the NEE Alliance board agreed the boundaries for 6 Live Well Neighbourhoods in North
East Essex, which were determined by:

  • Population size
  • The need to follow ward and district boundaries
  • That they should align to communities
  • They should be sympathetic to primary care networks and other key
    partners’ operating models

Each community will be invited to create their own vision of what a healthy neighbourhood looks like.

Health and social care providers and voluntary organisations will work closely together in Local Neighbourhood Teams (LNTs) to help communities bring their vision to life.

Using local knowledge and local health data, an action plan will be established using the existing strengths of the community as building blocks.

Neighbourhood working will tackle some of the social and economic problems that can affect health. It will help to reduce inequalities and create more patient-focussed health and social care services for each community.

In Tendring, Live Well Neighbourhoods are in development in Tendring South, East and West.
