Summer of Cycling

CVST and Essex Pedal Power both delivered a series summer of cycling events across Tendring, funded by Big Bike Revival.

All free, the activities include group rides, learn to ride, how to fix your bike and keep it in good condition, and servicing from Dr Bike, of which 140 people attended in last years Summer of Cycling. 13 children learnt how to ride their bikes and over 38 bikes were fixed with the Dr Bike sessions.

All the events were held from August 3rd to October 30th, across Clacton, Walton, St Osyth, Jaywick Sands and Harwich.

3rd August – Dumont Hall – Group ride with café stop – 1pm to 4pm

11th August – Walton Community Centre – Dr Bike session – 10am to 1pm

28th August – Walton Community Centre – Dr Bike session – 10am to 1pm AND Children Learn to Ride – 1.30pm to 3.30pm

1st September – Jaywick Sunspot – Essex Pedal Power 3 year anniversary and treasure hunt – 12.15pm – 3pm

7th September – Walton Community Centre – Dr Bike session – 10am – 1pm AND led ride – 1.30pm

14th September – Walton Community Centre – Children Learn to Ride – 10am – 12pm AND led ride – 12.30pm

19th September – Harwich Arts and Heritage Centre – Fix it session AND led ride – 10am – 1pm

22nd September – Walton Community Centre – Children Learn to Ride – 10am to 10.45am AND Adult Learn to Ride – 11am to 11.45am AND led ride – 12.30pm

30th October – Dumont Hall – Learn to Fix session – 1pm to 4.30pm
