Tendring Together

Promoting resilient communities in Tendring

Welcome!

We are a partnership of voluntary and community organisations. We work together with others to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities in the Tendring District and the surrounding areas.

Our Priorities:

  • Provide a joined-up platform for the engagement of the voluntary and community sectors in being part of the changes needed to improve health and wellbeing in the Tendring District and local areas.
  • Advocate the importance of the contribution that the voluntary and community sector makes to support the reduction of inequalities and to improve health and wellbeing in our local communities.
  • Actively engage and work alongside our communities and voluntary and community organisations so they are empowered and enabled to be part of the whole system change required to improve health outcomes locally.
  • Build capacity within the voluntary and community sector locally so that they can respond and react to the health and wellbeing needs of our communities.

Our Approach:

As part of the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care System we work collaboratively to support the delivery of the 6 domains of the live well model:

You can find out more about the wellbeing domains here: Our Work – Alliance (nee-alliance.org.uk)

We support the work with people from our communities and partner organisations in our local neighbourhoods to understand what is working and agree what needs to happen to help people to live healthier and happier lives in the future.

Our Governance:

The Tendring Together Voluntary Sector Coalition meets monthly to share information on developments and opportunities to get more involved. This is an inclusive meeting where partners from other sectors are welcome to attend and learn about what is happening in our local voluntary and community organisations as well as to share information about their services.

The Tendring Together Board meet four/six times a year. Tendring Together is part of the North East Essex Health and Wellbeing Alliance.

On behalf of Tendring Together, CVST have administered a number of different funding streams with partners that local voluntary and community sector organisations have accessed.

Working in partnership we are able to support funding organisation to reach out to organisations working at grass roots to deliver activities that will enhance the lives of people living in our district.

CVST take care to ensure that the grants awarded truly do make an impact and are accessed by our diverse communities.

£448,215 was distributed to 58 local voluntary and charity organisations in partnership with North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group, Essex County Council, Tendring District Council, GP Primary Choice and Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care System.

CVST have worked with partners to create a simple and clear application process to avoid putting anyone off and, if filling in application forms fills you with dread, CVS provide support with this as well ass with completing and returning monitoring.
