NAVCA Quality Award

Prestigious Award for Local Charity!

Local charity CVS Tendring has been celebrating following the attainment of a prestigious Quality Award in recognition of its excellent work with voluntary and community groups.

CVS Tendring has gained the rigorous award from the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA) for its work supporting and developing the voluntary sector across the district.

To win the award, CVS Tendring had to demonstrate that it made a real difference to local charities and their work. The assessment involved an external audit and interviews with local groups, organisations and statutory organisations such as Essex County Council and the North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group.

Sharon Alexander, Chief Officer of the charity said: “Everyone working and volunteering for CVS is over the moon and our volunteers, trustees and staff can give themselves a big pat on the back for what they have achieved. We know we do a great job, but now it’s official. It’s wonderful to be recognised by our national body for the high standard of services we deliver”.
