Black History Month 2024

AN AFTERNOON event with Food, art and music is being held to celebrate Black History Month.

The Mad About Theatre Company is hosting The One World at Community Voluntary Services Tendring’s (CVST) Sam’s Hall in Imperial House, Rosemary Road, Clacton.

Between 3pm and 5pm on Tuesday, October 29 there will be Caribbean food, art, and music with steel pan player Dougie Dallaway.

Indi Allen, organiser, said: “We will also be sharing stories that enrich our world during the afternoon.

“The aim is to really bring black history into the community.

“The event hopes to bring all cultures together to celebrate our world and the impact of black history.

“Sharing differences and finding common ground is important.

“We welcome everyone to our event, to share in the joy and spirit of the celebration.

“This event is aimed at young people and families, however all are welcome.”

There is no need to book for the event, just turn up on the day.
