Kennedy Way Harvest Day Celebrations

A PLANT swap, garden guru corner, and craft sales were at a community garden to celebrate harvest. 

Community Voluntary Services Tendring (CVST) hosted an open day, on Saturday 28th September at the Kennedy Way Community Garden, Kennedy Way, Clacton. 

The celebration was filled with garden related activities, including a plant swap, sale and flower and vegetable competitions.  

Visitors were also able to buy plants and items made at the Men’s Shed as well as take a look around and find out information on opportunities and activities held at the community garden.  

Tracy Lawrie, communities manager at CVST, said: “The Harvest Day was a great success on a lovely sunny day. 

“With so many people turning up to enjoy the raffles, sales and competitions, it was an amazing day filled with so many smiles from people who came along. 

“Thank you to our incredible volunteers at Kennedy Way Community Garden for making it such a beautiful and welcoming space. 

“And thank you to everyone who came along and everyone who helped make the day a success.”
