Victorian Christmas Market 2023

Clacton’s biggest charity Christmas market is being held in the town next month.

Community Voluntary Services Tendring is holding its annual Charity Victorian Christmas Market at the Christ Church United Reformed Church, in Carnarvon Road, Clacton.

It will run from 10am to 3pm on November 18 with entry costing 50p, which includes a free tea or coffee, and under 16s free – all money raised from the event goes to charity.

Sharon Alexander, chief officer at CVST, said: “We have run a Christmas market for decades and its always a great event, with community spirit, fun, festivities, and a chance to grab a bargain.

“This year we have changed venue to the Christ Church United Reform Church and look forward to welcoming shoppers.

“There will be Christmas decorations, gifts, refreshments, entertainment and more, plus it’s a chance to support your local voluntary organisations.

“We will also have appearances from Queen Victoria and her entourage, Father Christmas, and Charles Dickens.

“Plus entertainment from Singalongapen choir and MAD About Theatre group.”
