We are recruiting for several positions with roles that are diverse and include working across the local community with families, volunteers and vulnerable people, as well in areas such as fundraising, community development and marketing.

Job Title: Executive Assistant to CEO
Salary/hours: £21,500 pa for 37 hours per week (12-month contract but may be extended depending on funding)

Purpose of the post: To work collaboratively as part of the CVST staff team towards the aims and objectives of the organisation. Attend training in consultation with your line manager to improve and develop skills in line with the requirements of the job. Take part in staff performance and development review.

To be aware of the responsibilities connected to confidentiality, data protection and sensitive information within the organisation. To adhere to all of CVST’s operational policies and procedures including but not limited Equal Opportunities, Financial Systems, Lone Worker etc.

Job Title: COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Salary/hours: £19,875 pa for 37 hours per week (6-month contract but maybe extended depending on funding)
Purpose of the post: Working across the community, the postholder will support the COVID-19 vaccination programme and other CVST projects by encouraging, supporting and empowering local residents.

Job Title: LINK WORKER (Social Prescribing)
Salary/hours: £20,000 for 37 hours per week with possibility of enhancement for some weekends call out on rota basis required. (12-month contract – with possibility of being extended)
Purpose of the post: Working as part of CVST’s Social Prescribing Team, the postholder will support the development of long-term sustainable communities that help and empower local residents to lead healthier, more independent, and more active lives.

Job Title: Community Development Officer – Cultural Awareness
Salary/hours: £16,786 pa for 30 hours pw – this post is funded for 2 years
Purpose of the post: To raise cultural awareness in the local community and ensure that the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities have equal access to health and support services. Building a strong partnership between health and supporting services to improve the quality of life/ health care for minority ethnic communities. Developing the confident voice of the minority ethnic community within Tendring.

Interview Skills

For those who are seeking work, this course provides tips and hints to help you feel more confident in dealing with interviews. You will explore steps to prepare for a successful interview and recognise the skills and self-worth that can be transferred to any job role.

Emergency First Aid at Work

Gain knowledge of emergency procedures and basic first aid skills and attain a recognised qualification in First Aid. (Accredited Course).

Lone Working

A specific Lone Worker and Personal Safety Policy will be discussed, together with the risks, professional boundaries, behaviors and skills appropriate to the roles of volunteers and staff working with individuals.

This session introduces advanced care planning and provides an overview of the My Care Choices Register (MCCR).

This session will cover; bullying and hate crime, sexuality and gender identity and heteronormativity.
